1. What is LGPD

The Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados Pessoais (LGPD) — Brazil's General Data Protection Law (Federal Law No. 13,709, of August 14, 2018) — regulates the processing of personal data in Brazil, aiming to protect the fundamental rights of freedom, privacy and the free development of the individual's personality.

Solar Resistências Elétricas, committed to legal compliance and respect for its customers, has adopted the necessary measures to comply with LGPD in all its operations involving personal data.

LGPD applies to any data processing operation carried out in Brazil or involving data of persons located in Brazil.

2. Legal Basis for Processing

All personal data processing by Solar has a legal basis defined by LGPD:

3. Personal Data Processed

3.1 Categories of data

  • Identification data: name, tax ID numbers (CPF/CNPJ)
  • Contact data: email, phone, address
  • Professional data: company, position, area of activity
  • Navigation data: IP, cookies, pages visited
  • Candidate data: resume, education, experience

3.2 Data we do NOT process

Solar does not process sensitive personal data (racial origin, political opinion, religious conviction, health data, biometric data, etc.) in its regular commercial operations.

4. Your Rights under LGPD

Article 18 of LGPD guarantees data subjects the following rights, which may be exercised free of charge at any time:

  • Confirmation of processing: know if your data is processed by Solar
  • Access to data: obtain a copy of the data we hold about you
  • Correction: update incorrect or outdated data
  • Anonymization, blocking or deletion: of unnecessary or non-compliant data
  • Portability: receive your data in an interoperable format
  • Deletion of consent-based data: except in legal retention cases
  • Sharing information: know which third parties received your data
  • Consent withdrawal: cancel consent given, at any time
  • Review of automated decisions: request human review of automated decisions

5. How to Exercise Your Rights

  1. Clearly identify yourself (full name and tax ID)
  2. Specify which right you wish to exercise
  3. Provide any additional information to help locate your data

We will respond to all requests within 15 business days, as required by LGPD.

6. Data Protection Officer (DPO)

Solar has designated a person responsible for personal data processing (Data Protection Officer / DPO), reachable through the channels listed in section 5.

The DPO is responsible for receiving communications from data subjects and the ANPD, guiding internal staff on data protection, ensuring LGPD compliance, and reporting security incidents to the relevant authorities.
